Tour Requests

If you plan to travel to Washington, DC, my office may request tickets for you to tour several popular attractions around the city. Those venues include the United States Capitol, White House, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and Kennedy Center.

Tour availability varies throughout the year and it is prudent for you to send your request to my office as early as possible. Tickets are issued strictly on a first come, first serve basis and requests are received from all members of the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate.

Please complete the tour request form below. Once received, my Washington, DC staff will process it and notify you of the status of your requests. Please note that some of the venues may not inform my office about whether your tours were approved or denied until a few weeks prior to your requested tour dates.

If you have any questions, please contact Brian Dugan in my Washington, DC office by phone, 202-225-2415, or by email,

Request Process for White House Tours and Pertinent Information Regarding Other Venues

White House:
Requests must be received at a minimum of 21 days in advance of the requested tour dates - this includes having all pertinent information submitted to the White House. Tours are issued on a first come, first serve basis, and it is prudent to send in your requests early. While making your initial request with my office, you are permitted to choose up to 3 days in order of priority for your White House tour. If you are available more than three days, please specify in the notes section of the web form which days you prefer for your White House tour. Once I receive your initial request, I will notify the White House of your preferred dates. The White House will then contact you requesting the following information:

  • - First, Middle, Last Name
  • - DOB
  • - SSN (For those 18 and older)
  • - Citizenship
  • - Country of Birth
  • - Gender
  • - Current Residence (City and State)

You will have 7 days to provide the White House with the pertinent information starting from the time you received the email from the White House. If the information is not submitted in time, the process must start over. Keep in mind, the sooner you provide the necessary information, the more likely it is that your request will be approved.

Please note: All decisions about the scheduling or denial of a tour are made by the White House Visitors Office. If a tour is denied, there is no other avenue by which to schedule a tour. The White House does not offer walk up tours.
