Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) has issued the following statement in response to recent reports of Dr. Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani doctor who helped the U.S.
The ongoing violence in the northern Caucasus is now a “threat” to the United States that requires closer cooperation with Russia, lawmakers said Friday in response to the Boston bombings.
House Repbublicans and Democrats made the remarks at a hearing on Islamist extremism in Chechnya and the surrounding region.
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) has vowed to put the Obama administration and fellow legislators under pressure to take action to free Dr. Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani doctor who assisted the U.S. in the hunt for Osama bin Laden and who is now serving a 33-year prison sentence.
