NEWPORT BEACH – Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a senior member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, will be on hand 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, at the Balboa Pier to help introduce a pilot project that detects sharks swimming in local waters. The technology was developed and is used in Australia. The Republican congressman has actively supported its adoption in this country.

Huntington Beach, CA – On Thursday, Orange County Superior Court Judge James Crandall ruled that SB 54 unconstitutionally violates the rights of charter cities in the State of California. SB 54, enacted by the California Legislature, prohibits local governments from cooperating with federal immigration officials. Judge Crandall issued an injunction to stop implementation of that law.
WASHINGTON – Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) took to the House floor this morning to take to task the U.S. military’s inexcusable delay in deploying a revolutionary new firefighting technology called the Precision Containerized Aerial Delivery System (PCADS).
WASHINGTON – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice has rescheduled the hearing on sober living homes. It will now take place on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 9:00am ET. The hearing may be viewed live on the website of the House Judiciary Committee.
WASHINGTON – The United States House of Representatives canceled votes that were scheduled for Friday, September 14. Thus, committee activity, including the sober living homes hearing scheduled in the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, is postponed until further notice.
Congressman Rohrabacher will send an announcement when the hearing is rescheduled.
